Almighty God looks on the Heart of Men
Question: Can a Christian explain the glaring contradiction that Micah Chapter 7 verse 18 has with Jeremiah Chapter 17 verse 4?
IMO; here the anguish which Almighty God felt when Israel played the “harlot”; after God had placed in them the Special Designation of “Chosen People”; and even more “My First Born Son”; which was thrown in His Face after Deut. 27; and summarised in Malachi, was justifiable anger; but was followed in the remainder of the Chapter with remorse and Love “because He delights in Mercy”!
In v.4 of Jer.17; the concept of God’s Mercy is expanded, and Almighty God shows that the heart of a person is what He looks upon in His analysis of TRUE INTENT; as was the case with King David; and is shown to be the intent with Israel when they react (yet to be) to Zech. 12:10!
That reaction will allow the “Salvaging” of Israel as shown in Ezek. 39:21–29; and their isolated treatment for the last 2000+ years will be over; and they will be restored to “Ammi”; and become a “Kingdom of Priests unto Almighty God and His Son Christ Jesus, from Jerusalem”!
